Spring has finally sprung in Ottawa and in Thornhill, and I'm sure you're enjoying the warm weather and sunny skies. It's a time of reflection as we look forward to the summer and brighter days ahead with a plan that includes everyone, every worker, every family, every senior.

I hope you enjoyed a meaningful holiday if you celebrated - I certainly took some time to reflect and connect with my own family. Parliament was on break for two weeks, which gave me some time to celebrate at home with all of you - we're headed back on Monday.
With the pause in the action on the Hill and the spirit of the new season in the air, now is the perfect time to look back on what we've been pushing for in the winter session of Parliament and peek ahead at what's to come.

Looking Back
The Liberals introduced a budget on March 28th - it does nothing to address the demands of our party or the millions of people struggling right now. Only Conservatives can bring home a country that works for the people who do the work.
On April Fool's Day, Justin Trudeau hiked his Carbon Tax yet again, making it even more expensive for you to gas up your car, heat your home, or buy groceries.
Despite everything the Liberals say - the Parliamentary Budget Officer agrees with Conservatives. He says that the Carbon Tax will cost families nearly $800 in 2023.
Time for a real environmental plan, not a tax plan in disguise.
Justin Trudeau's crime wave continued, and the Liberals did nothing to protect families from out-of-control violence.
Here's the Conservative plan: fix our broken bail system. Keep dangerous criminals off our streets. Go after the gangsters and gun smugglers - not the law-abiding Canadians.
Canadians were blindsided about allegations of Communist interference in our elections. More than that - they were shocked to learn that the Prime Minister might have known about the plot the whole time.
We're asking: what did the Prime Minister know, and when did he know it?
The Liberals passed their censorship bill, Bill C-11, by shutting down debate in the House and jamming it through with limited discussion.
What clearer indication that we should not give Justin Trudeau control over the entire Internet?
The fight is not over - we're always going to stand up for your rights and freedoms.
Months of pleas and public demands, and the Liberals took zero action to list the IRGC as a terrorist organization and protect Iranians living here in Canada.
Then, Liberal MP Rob Oliphant walked out of a packed rally to support human rights advocates in Iran.
A clear metaphor for the Liberals' feelings on this vital issue.
Looking Ahead
Debate on the Budget will continue when I return to Ottawa. Here's what we're going to fight for:
- Bring home lower prices by eliminating inflationary taxes and deficits
- Bring home powerful paychecks with incentives and policies that reward hard work
- Bring homes that our young people can afford by cutting red tape and speeding up construction

We know that the inflationary policies of Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are going to continue to drive up the cost of living and take more money out of your pocket. We'll be standing up for lower prices, lower spending, and lower taxes.
A Conservative government will fine big cities that block new homes and reward those that free up land and speed up building. Canada has the fewest homes per capita in the G7, and the dream of homeownership has died for many new young and new Canadians under Justin Trudeau.
Conservative Bill C-325 will restore safe streets to Canada and put a stop to violent criminals serving their sentences in the comfort of their living rooms.
Bill C-241, proposed by my colleague Chris Lewis, will allow tradespeople to deduct travel expenses from their income taxes. Big corporations get to write off first-class flights for their CEOs. Why don't the people who build Canada get some relief for the sky-high cost of gas and transportation? Conservatives will fix this.
