Incompetence -- it's a word we hear a lot after 8 years of Justin Trudeau.

But it's reached a new meaning after we've found ourselves in one of the largest strikes in Canadian history.

Despite increasing public spending by 53% -

Despite 21 billion more dollars flowing to our bureaucracy -

Despite record projected deficits -

Justin Trudeau still couldn't prevent federal public servants from going on strike or reach a deal.

It takes a special kind of incompetence to mess things up just as badly as he has.

And who's going to pay? It won't be him, who doesn't rely on federal government support, who doesn't have to wait for immigration or passport services, who doesn't wait in line at the airport.

It's going to be you.

After 8 years of Justin Trudeau - you just can't afford more of that.

Time for a government that will put you first and put you back in control of your life.

Yours,

Melissa Lantsman

Working Hard in Ottawa

The Liberals keep trying to hide that the carbon tax is hurting Canadians, but the proof is in the numbers - the average family will pay up to $710 more this year with no results. It just doesn't work - cancel the tax.

Canadians need a government that works for them, not against them. Conservatives are voting against the Liberal budget. Click below to hear why.

Did Justin Trudeau pay $9,000/night for his luxury vacation at a super-elite villa of a Trudeau Foundation donor? If not, it's pay-to-play. What did those donors get in return that ordinary Canadians didn't?

After Justin Trudeau spent $21 billion and caused a strike blocking essential public services to Canadians, he jetted off to New York to lecture the world about the environment. When will this government get to work?

It was a pleasure to co-host a reception in support of individuals with Developmental Disabilities with my colleagues and the Speaker of the House. Here’s Brian & Gary from Reena who came to town to share the amazing work they are doing in our neighbourhood.

It was great to meet with Derek and Ron from the Toronto Police Association who came up to Ottawa. With crime on the rise across Canada, we look to our police services to protect Canadians and keep communities safe. We need more common sense policies to target repeat violent offenders. Full stop. They agree.

It was great to meet with the Mayors of York Region. We are seeing tremendous growth and keeping up is a challenge. We need a government that will actually address housing, affordability and crime and work with municipalities.

I spent a blessed Easter service with the congregants of St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church. It was an honour to be there alongside Pierre Poilievre and Anna Roberts to celebrate faith, family, and freedom.

Thankful for the opportunity to celebrate 75 years of Israel’s independence with Pierre Poilievre. Proud to honour the sacrifices of our brave men and women in uniform and celebrate the dedication and sacrifices that have led Israel to become the successful nation she is today.

Working Hard Across Canada

Thanks to everyone who came out in Don Valley West to show their support for our party, for our movement, and for a better Canada. Engaged and ready for change - it’s time for a competent government.

Thank you Richmond Hill for having me out for Pints and Politics. We can turn this country around with common sense for the common people - and that starts with sending a common sense MP from Richmond Hill to Ottawa.

The systematic oppression, imprisonment, and murder of 1.5 million souls left an immeasurable impact on the Armenian nation and its people. Deeply honoured to observe the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Fighting Antisemitism

The Annual Audit Of Antisemitic Incidents 2022 is out and the results show that 2022 produced the second-highest number of antisemitic incidents in the audit's history. This is a crisis.

I had the honour of speaking at the Yom HaShoah Commemoration Service at the National Holocaust Monument. Listen in. Thank you to CIJA and everyone involved for putting on such a beautiful and somber service.

On Yom Ha’atzmaut, we celebrate 75 years of Independence for Israel. Israel is a model for human rights, democracy, and religious freedom – a shining light in an uncertain world. Yom Ha’atzmaut Sameach – thank you to everyone who has and continues to support our friend and ally.
