Can you believe it? 

Last time I wrote you, the House of Commons was just beginning to sit. Now - the Liberal government is only one week away from taking a summer vacation. 

This, at a time of record economic uncertainty, skyrocketing food inflation, out-of-control immigration, and a long, long list of things to fix in this country. 

What's worse, the Liberal government wants to leave Ottawa without passing a budget, leaving Canadians in the dark about the government's spending or any kind of plans they have for our economy. 

It seems like Canada's "new" government is returning to the playbook of the "old" one. Is anybody really that surprised? I'm sure you aren't. 

Our Conservative opposition has been holding the government's feet to the fire and pushing them to be transparent with Canadians.

We've been clear: we'll sit as long as it takes to get a budget, get our economy on track, cut taxes and red tape, fix immigration, and start building homes. Because that's what Canadians expect.

Standing up for Canada in Ottawa

Carney called himself an Ottawa outsider but he's picking up pretty quick on the ways of old Liberal Ottawa.

Back this year for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' Annual Conference. Affordability, housing, crime, infrastructure and immigration on the discussion docket. Onwards. ➡️

Mark Carney said that he had a plan, but he can’t tell us what it is, how much it’ll cost, or any other details.

Almost sounds like...he never had a plan all along?

Is the Minister of Immigration capable of answering a question?

Nope.

The Housing Minister sent home prices up by 179% when he was Vancouver's mayor. Now he says he's going to bring his experience to Ottawa.

Forgive me if I'm a bit skeptical.

Jimmy Lai has spent almost five years arbitrarily detained in Hong Kong for his selfless commitment to standing up for democracy and freedom of the press. I met with his son, Sebastien Lai, and his Canadian counsel Irwin Cotler to join their calls on the Canadian government to grant him Canadian citizenship; to honour his pursuit of justice and put pressure on Hong Kong to end his wrongful imprisonment.

Canada should honour our own values of freedom and justice, along with the House of Commons unanimous motion in 2023 to free Jimmy Lai immediately, and take action to secure his freedom.

Liberal incompetence ➡️ just 309 units built in 5 YEARS.

Everybody - even the Auditor General - knows this government is failing Canadians on housing.

Trump just hiked tariffs to 50% on Canadian steel and aluminum.

The Liberals quietly dropped our counter-tariffs mid-election.
The “man with the plan” and the self-branded “guy you hire in a crisis” is leaving Canadian workers, families and businesses to deal with the uncertainty.

And this doesn’t qualify for emergency debate? Weird.

Canadians deserve answers from the Liberals.

It’s the definition of a cowardly act to vandalize a Holocaust monument in the middle of the night, steps away from Parliament Hill.

Any justification of it is grotesque.

“Never again” has to mean something.

A disgusting and cowardly act — Canada’s National Holocaust Monument was defaced overnight.

Parliament is just steps away — that’s where dissent belongs. Defacing sacred ground in honour of the millions of victims of the Holocaust in the middle of the night with spray paint isn’t protest, it’s vandalism.

Someone this pathetic deserves to be identified and held accountable.
