Like many Canadians, I'm getting ready to celebrate Canada Day - the 158th anniversary of our nation's Confederation. It’s never been more important to stand up for our country’s independence and celebrate all the things that make us truly special.

It’s not just maple syrup, poutine or hockey – those things are great though.

It’s a system of laws and democracy that gives rights to everyone – under one flag, no matter who you are or where you come from. It’s a unique and shared history forged at places like Juno Beach and Vimy Ridge. It’s a culture and identity where we look out for our neighbours, treat each other with respect, and help those in need. It’s a vast land of natural riches -- breathtaking, and endless in its quiet beauty, where every horizon holds a promise.

It’s those qualities that make Canada the best country in the world and a place where I’m so thankful that my parents made their home 50 years ago this year.

While some celebrate Canada when it’s convenient for them, pride for our nation should never be conditional. And preserving and protecting our sovereignty isn’t just important when it's under threat – it's important to preserve every day, for us and for those who fought on the right side of every battle to make this our home.

We celebrate our shared history, leave our problems at the door, and carry the silent strength of a people who stand for fairness, protect each other, and steward a land rich with promise and responsibility. Let’s make sure that the next generation understands the history of our nation and what it means to be a Canadian.

Wishing you have a very happy Canada Day. Be proud to be Canadian. Celebrate this country.

Canada is the True North Strong and Free today, tomorrow, and always.

Praying for a #FreeIran

As news from the Middle East develops on a near-hourly basis, we can only hope that this is the end of the Iranian regime’s nuclear program and totalitarian rule and that the great Iranian people can now rise up to reclaim their country.

The terrorists and despots have ruled for too long - it's now time for the people to rule, with a renewed commitment to peace, human rights, and democracy.

I am deeply honoured and humbled to receive the inaugural Tom Weisz Holocaust Learning and Jewish Advocacy Award from Hamilton Jewish Federation and the Margaret’s Legacy Holocaust Learning and Jewish Advocacy Centre.

It is my honour to fight for the Canadian-Jewish community, and all Canadians, for freedom, safety, democracy and the protection of our western values.

Privileged to once again visit the Nova Exhibition with friends from some of my fellow CPC MPs.

We also heard incredible testimony from Noa Argamani - a Nova survivor and rescued hostage who witnessed firsthand the atrocities of Hamas and October 7th.

Conservatives will stand with the victims, the hostages that remain, and our ally Israel - today, tomorrow, and always.

On National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism, we honour the 329 innocent passengers, including the 268 Canadian citizens, who were murdered by the devastating act of terrorism on Air India Flight 182. We stand in solidarity for victims, survivors, and their families, for justice and freedom - values that we hold dear as Canadians. Know that I will always stand with you.

Celebrated Bernard Betel Centre on the weekend at their 60th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee. Congratulations to Executive Director Gail Gould and the entire team on six successful decades of service to young-at-heart adults in our community. Thank you for providing our loved ones with countless programs and services including fitness, recreation, trips and travel, and more. Keep up the great work! Here's to 60 more years.

Love spending summer nights in the community.

Joined the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce at Mircom this week alongside my colleagues Anna Roberts and Michael Guglielmin for a quick tour and discussion with business owners in the manufacturing sector. We chatted about infrastructure priorities & challenges, regulation, trade & tariffs, industrial policy, energy, and more.

Conservatives will continue to hold the government to account to better support Canadian business and our economy. Special thank you to Abdus for the invitation!

Happy Pride! 🇨🇦🏳️‍🌈 Joined Steven Del Duca and the Vaughan Council for a Pride Month celebration with York Pride at Vaughan City Hall.

Pride reminds us that here in Canada - freedom and respect for everyone are values we hold dear. I will always stand up for those values here in our own country, and every where around the world in places where fear and oppression rule the day.
