We're back to Ottawa and already hitting the ground running -- doing the hard work Canadians sent us here to do. 

We've got a strong, united, and bigger-than-ever Conservative opposition and I know we're going to make a great team. We have new voices from places like Windsor, Hamilton, Newfoundland, and Vancouver Island who haven't sent Conservatives to the House of Commons for generations. Millions of Canadians from all walks of life put their hopes in us. Our priorities for the coming session are your priorities: 

• Get spending under control so we can bring down the cost of living for Canadians. 
• Unleash our economy and our natural resources. 
• Build more homes to make housing more affordable for everyone. 
• Stop the crime, chaos, drugs, and disorder flooding our streets. 
• Fix the immigration system that everyone knows is out of control. 

We'll work with Prime Minister Carney or any other party in the House to make these things happen. 

We'll also do our duty as an opposition party to keep the government accountable. It's never been more important because the "new" government is already proving itself to be just like the last one:

• 13 of Trudeau's senior ministers have important jobs in Carney's government too, like Minister of Finance, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Justice, and Minister of Industry. 
• Carney's caucus is already talking about ways to slow down or outright stop building new pipelines in Canada. 
• Despite committing to spending less, they're spending 8% more this year than even Justin Trudeau spent last year, according to documents tabled in the House of Commons. 
• We've heard crickets from the Liberal Party condemning out-of-control antisemitism in our streets. Worse, they're already abandoning our ally Israel and laying the groundwork for a unilateral recognition of Palestinian independence. 

We're doing this in Ottawa because we care -- because we want our country to be strong. A committed, dedicated, and persistent opposition improves our nation and our makes our democracy healthier.

Standing up for Canada in Ottawa

So glad to be back in Ottawa. Thank you to my family and my team for helping me get here. And most importantly, thank you Thornhill, for letting me sit in YOUR seat here in Ottawa.

A big thanks to Vaughan's very own Ward 4 Councillor, Chris Ainsworth, for stopping by the House of Commons this week. 

Proud to call Chris a friend and glad to have him as a strong voice on City Council. 

Day 1 and we’re still discussing the same housing issues from 10 years ago. Now, they’re even worse.

How can this new government possibly make housing more affordable if they simply don’t even believe that the cost of houses should come down?

I am so proud of the longevity and of the success of Falun Dafa. Especially so in light of the constant threats, interference, and persecution from the communist regime in Beijing.

I want to thank you – not only for the good work that you do in our community and in the lives of millions, but also for your resilience and for standing by your principles, in the face of persecution.

We stand with you. Today on Parliament Hill and always.

Carney’s spending is not as bad as Trudeau’s. It’s worse.

Honoured to be a part of Thornhill’s very own Humanity First’s Global Telethon as they raise funds for their local food bank — and global initiatives: Water Wells, Schools, Hospitals, Vocational Centers, Disaster Relief, and Gift of Sight. Faith, family and community is what sets them apart.

My favourite thing to do on a weekend? BBQs in Thornhill 🎉

Lantsman in the News

The Conservative mission for this session can be summed up in one word: “hope.” When we expose Liberal failures, when we argue about policies, we don't do it just to hold the government to account - we do it because we want things to get better. Conservatives will fulfill that hope for our people, for our country, for Canada now and forever 🇨🇦

Conservatives' priorities are clear: reduce the cost of living, build houses Canadians can afford, and end the rise in crime. If the Liberals prove once again that they can't deliver for Canadians, Conservatives are standing by and ready to deliver hope for our future.

It's time to get to work for Canadians. We're ready to advocate for our priorities and our constituents -- and ready to work with whoever is willing to make the changes this country desperately needs.
