Latest from Lantsman - September 19, 2025

Parliament's back. Pierre's back. We're hard at work at the House of Commons in our nation's capital.

The longer the Prime Minister's in power, the more we realize that his words just don't match his actions.

He promised he'd reform immigration -- but we already let in over 100,000 temporary foreign workers in the first six months of 2025 alone.

He promised he'd fix housing by building 500,000 homes and doubling housing starts -- but starts are down 16% and his new billion-dollar-bureaucracy is going to build a measly 4,000 homes.

He promised he'd spend less so Canadians could invest more -- but he's on track to have a bigger deficit than even Justin Trudeau.

The Prime Minister's broken promises have real impacts for Canadians: higher prices at the grocery store, higher rent, more unemployment, and more unsafe streets. It's the same results from the same ministers and the same, old government.

Conservatives will hold the Prime Minister accountable for his broken promises -- keeping him honest with Canadians while also proposing our own solutions to fix what this government broke.

Looking forward to even more Parliament so we can keep working for you and for all Canadians.

Yours,

Melissa Lantsman

Shana Tova!

As we observe Rosh Hashanah and enter into the High Holy days, I want to wish you a restful, peaceful, and blessed holiday.

I know that we will celebrate many thousands more years on this planet to come, and I hope that better days will soon be on the way. You know that you have an ally in me, in Pierre Poilievre, and in our entire Conservative Party.

Reminder -- Take my Start-of-Session Survey!

As we head back to Parliament, I want to hear from you -- tell me what issues are important to you, what's on your mind, and what we should be doing in Ottawa.

Your voice matters and I'll always stand up for you and your concerns.

Time for Bail Reform. Now.

If it wasn't for weak Liberal bail laws, Bailey Plover would still be alive today.

Instead, dangerous repeat criminals cycle through a revolving-door bail system while this government pretends that there's nothing wrong.

The criminal justice system is broken and the government broke it. Watch my new documentary, out now, to find out when and why it got broken -- and how we can fix it.

Standing up for 🇨🇦 in Ottawa

House prices ⬆️
Liberal bureaucracy ⬆️

Only this government would think that more spending and more red tape = real progress.

I’m a big forever fan.

Grocery prices are soaring. Families are paying about $700 more for their groceries this year alone, yet the government continues to act as though nothing is wrong. Anyone who does their own grocery shopping would know that.

Borders, criminal justice, immigration, and more: you name it, they broke it. Conservatives are going to fix it.

Mark Carney on pipelines is like being a vegetarian at a steakhouse. Here’s there, but no one believes he’s going to order anything.

Pipelines didn’t make the cut for “national importance.” Shocking? No.

A to-do list only works when you actually do the things you say you’re going to do. Carney's news announcement won’t be news until government does one thing: get out of the way.

The Liberals are taking a victory lap on projects that are all but a done deal and patting themselves on the back for just creating extra layers of bureaucracy.

Rather than building bureaucracy and creating red tape, let’s build big things in this country and create real, good-paying jobs 🇨🇦
